The Lost Subways of North America - Midwest

Like the rest of the U.S., the great industrial cities of the Midwest embraced the automobile wholeheartedly.  Streetcar systems, and Chicago's elevated branches, were removed left and right in order to save cities from irrelevance at the hands of the burgeoning suburbs.  What no one foresaw is that this highways would only cause the downtowns of the Midwest to decline even faster.

The Lost Subways book came out in November 2023; book orders are open.
