The Lost Subways of North America - West

Most of the cities of the western U.S. had extensive streetcar systems before the Second World War, even in places now known for their suburban sprawl like Los Angeles and Phoenix.  Occasionally, grand plans to rebuild city rail networks have come up, but rarely have they been as extensive or ambitious as their pre-World War II predecessors.

The Lost Subways book came out in November 2023; book orders are open.
